All of our Charity Safaris hunting trips are 100% donations. Charity Safaris does not keep any of the auction funds realized.
If a package does not sell, we just put it back into our “inventory” for the following charity that needs to fundraise. There is no penalty.
Any international travel has a certain degree of risk, but our destinations are safe overall. If safe traveling habits are practiced, you shouldn’t have to worry about anything. A guide is ready to pick you up as soon as you land, so you will always have an experienced local at your side
Hunting, in general, is controversial, but especially trophy hunting! We only use outfitters who respect and follow all local regulations for responsible and sustainable hunting. It is a passion and a way of life for most of these people, who are eager to share it with others. In most cases, the hunters and staff consume the meat while there, and the left-over portions are donated to local villages or used in other ways. We strive to ensure that there is very little waste. Responsible and legal hunting helps deter poaching and boosts local revenues significantly.
We don’t require much, because we know that putting an event together is a lot of work! Our goal is to provide you with a profitable donation with minimal work on your part. Once your event concludes, please complete the auction winner form (provided here) and scan/email it to us within five days of the event.
The main items the auction winner is responsible for are trophy fees, airfare, and gratuities. Depending on the destination and season, airfare can range from $1000 to $1600. Gratuities, while non-compulsory, can range from $500 to $1000 or more. Over the last several years, the average trophy fee bill for Argentina has been $4,000, South Africa $5,000, and New Zealand $6,000. But, of course, some hunters spend less, and some spend more.
