Cape Buffalo is considered the most dangerous of all the Big Five due to its unpredictable nature and ferocious attitude. They have curved horns that create a hard shell called a boss, which creates a type of helmet used to fight their competitors.
Although challenging, Cape buffalo hunts in the African bushveld is a thrilling adventure everyone can enjoy. Theron African Safaris offers a 7-day Cape buffalo hunt package that will make you want to keep coming back!
The South Africa hunting season runs from February through the end of November.
Theron African Safaris is situated in the Limpopo province of South Africa. The lodge is home to the Theron family and is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Africa. The main lodge has a deck that overlooks a dam and is the perfect spot to take in the sights and sounds with a glass of wine.

Enjoy dinners under the African stars at the boma, which comfortably seats up to 20 people. Follow the path of lights until you get to the boma and enjoy exceptional local cuisine from their experienced chefs. The chefs will prepare meals using the animals that have been harvested, tickling your tastebuds with new flavors and tastes.
After dinner, head to the fire pit to mingle with other guests and enjoy local beer, wine, liquor, and champagne. This is the ideal setting to share stories and meet new people from all walks of life.
After landing in sunny South Africa, expect to be welcomed at the airport by a Theron African Safaris representative, who will transport you to the lodge.
Meet and greet services are additionally charged for by firearm permit companies. Theron African Safaris will put you in contact with them for the rifle permit. All other arrangements should be handled directly with the company. Should you encounter any unexpected issues, Theron African Safari will assist in resolving the issue.
Theron African Safaris provides two Toyota Land Cruisers, transporting you into the bushveld where the hunts occur. A tracker and a professional hunter will accompany you to help with all your needs during the hunt. The trophies will get skinned and kept in the salt room to ensure the skulls and skin gets preserved before they get collected by the taxidermist.
Typically, taxidermy work takes six to twelve months to complete and requires a 50% downpayment to get started. After that, the exporter will pick up the trophies and complete all the paperwork needed for the export permits. The shipment process will be initiated after they contact you personally to make the final payment.
Additional hunters and observers may be added at the minimum bid of $15,995. This hunt is good for the 2024 or 2025 hunting season, which runs from February through November. This Cape Buffalo hunt is not refundable but may be transferred. Rescheduling this hunt to 2026 or later will be subject to a fee to cover the cost of increased trophy fees.
Theron African Safaris is accommodating to all types of guests and welcomes Observers. However, there is a daily fee for each person whether they stay at the lodge or go on the hunt with the hunter.
The main lodge’s trophy wall, the swimming pool, and the souvenir shop are all open for visitors to enjoy throughout the day. The Observer can also use Theron African Safaris to help arrange a trip to the nearby 30-minute drive-away lion conservancy.
